Sri Lanka, Jan. 16 -- The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has questioned six individuals, including senior officials of the National Institute of Education (NIE), over the inclusion of a link to inappropriate adult content in a Grade Six English module.

Those questioned include module writers from the NIE's Academic Affairs Division, along with officials responsible for reviewing, editing, and proofreading the educational materials.

Ministry sources confirmed that the report from the internal committee, which conducted a preliminary investigation at the ministry level, is expected to be submitted in the coming week.
