Sri Lanka, June 28 -- The newly appointed High Commissioner (HC) of Sri Lanka to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Rear Admiral Fred Seneviratne (Rtd.) VSV, USP, PSC, and MSc (DS), who arrived in Islamabad on June 25, 2025, officially assumed duties at the Sri Lanka HC in Islamabad on Thursday, June 26, 2025.

HC - designate was received and welcomed by the staff of the High Commission. In his address to the staff, HC-designate Fred Seneviratne outlined the Government's vision for strengthening the Mission's activities, reflecting the aspirations of the people of Sri Lanka and the mandate entrusted to the Government.
