Srilanka, May 29 -- Minister of Health and Mass Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, has appointed Professor Jennifer Perera as the new Registrar of the Ceylon Medical College Council (CMCC). The official letter of appointment was handed over by Deputy Minister Dr. Hansaka Wijemuni at the Ministry premises recently. The appointment is made under the provisions of the Medical Ordinance.

Professor Perera, a distinguished academic, has contributed over 40 years of service to the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, where she also served as Dean from 2015 to 2020. She is well-regarded for her leadership in medical education reforms, including the reorientation of the medical curriculum in 1996.
