Srilanka, March 31 -- The Government has initiated steps to revive industries in the Northern Province that were shut down due to the war, following the reopening of the Aanaiyiravu Salt Production Facility. This initiative is expected to create employment opportunities for Northern youth and increase the province's contribution to the national economy, stated Northern Province Governor N.A. Vethanayagan.

The official relaunch of table salt production at the Aanaiyiravu Salt Factory took place on Saturday (29), with the participation of Industries and Enterprise Development Minister Sunil Handunnetti and Fisheries, Aquatic Resources, and Oceanic Wealth Minister R. Chandrasekaran.
