Srilanka, June 16 -- The official handover of 42 newly constructed houses to replace police quarters that were removed during the construction of the Kompanyaveediya flyover took place today (16) under the patronage of Minister of Public Security Bimal Ratnayake.
The new housing units, located on Cyril C. Perera Mawatha in Colombo 13, were built to provide permanent accommodation for police personnel affected by the redevelopment project.
The ceremony was attended by Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security Ravi Siriwardena, Acting Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasuriya, and other senior officials.
