Sri Lanka, Feb. 1 -- The Government has officially issued an Extraordinary Gazette notification outlining new regulations for the employment of women during night hours.

The directive specifically addresses the workforce within the sanitation and food service sectors, establishing the legal framework and safety guidelines under which female employees can be engaged for night work.

This move is expected to provide greater clarity for employers while ensuring the protection and rights of women working outside traditional daytime hours in these essential industries.
