Sri Lanka, Sept. 22 -- The three-storeyed surgical and clinical complex at the Pottuvil Base Hospital, constructed for Rs. 1 billion, was opened to the public on Saturday (20). The building is part of a Chinese-funded project to upgrade health facilities in 13 hospitals countrywide, aiming to provide high-quality and efficient healthcare to the people of the Eastern Province.
Health and Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa inaugurated the complex and inspected the new building and its various units.
