Srilanka, March 4 -- President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, has approved the appointment of Air Vice Marshal Lasitha Sumanaweera as the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF).

Following this approval, Air Force Commander Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe officially handed over the letter of appointment to Air Vice Marshal Lasitha Sumanaweera today.
