Sri Lanka, April 12 -- Special passenger transport services are being operated today (April 12) to support the remaining travelers heading to their hometowns for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.

Transport authorities report that approximately 90% of holiday travelers have already left Colombo. However, enhanced services continue to operate from key terminals including Colombo Central Bus Station, Bastian Mawatha, Makumbura, and Kadawatha, with additional buses deployed to major cities such as Matara, Galle, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Badulla, Hatton, Monaragala, Ampara, and Embilipitiya. Many of these routes include expressway services.
