Sri Lanka, March 21 -- Naval personnel, during a search, found more than 912 kg of 'Beedi' leaves at Talaimannar yesterday night. Meanwhile, search operations are being further carried out in the area by the Navy.The stock of beedi leaves, which is believed to have been smuggled from India to the country, had been packed in 27 gunny bags filled with Beedi leaves.The consignment will be handed over to the Customs office in Jaffna.The arrested suspects have been identified as a 32-year-old and 38-year-old residents of Pesalai, Mannar.
