Sri Lanka, Jan. 16 -- Sri Lanka's top windsurfer, Priyantha Gunawardene, made history by winning the Windsurfing Nationals for the second consecutive year, securing the National Champion title at the 2025 event, organised by Yachting Association of Sri Lanka held at Bentota Picnic Beach on Saturday.
Gunawardene, the number one windsurfer in Sri Lanka, continued his dominance in the sport after winning last year's championship at Crow Island Beach in Mattakkuliya. His impressive performance earned him the top spot once again in this annual event.
The runner-up position was claimed by fellow Sri Lanka Navy sailor WAS Weeratunga, while the bronze medal went to Kosala de Silva of the host Bentota Windsurfing Club.
