Sri Lanka, Oct. 31 -- The Sri Lanka Navy has launched a rescue mission to bring home four fishermen who were rescued after their multiday fishing trawler Keshan Putha I capsized approximately 354 nautical miles (about 655km) off the coast of Hambantota amidst adverse weather conditions.

The incident was first reported after the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DFAR) informed the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) Colombo that the trawler, which had departed from the Dondra Fisheries Harbour for deep-sea fishing, had lost communication and could not be contacted.
