Sri Lanka, Feb. 12 -- Director General of Naval Operations Rear Admiral Harsha de Silva stated that the Sri Lanka Navy has earned USD 598,350 within three months by providing security services to international merchant vessels. Sri Lanka travel guide

He said the revenue was generated during the first three months following the extraordinary gazette issued on October 3, which officially vested the authority to supervise and manage security services provided to foreign private maritime security companies with the Navy, under the full supervision of the Ministry of Defence.
