Sri Lanka, April 25 -- Chalitha Pushpika, a talented golfer from the Sri Lanka Navy, has made an impressive leap in the World Amateur Golf Ranking Tournament. His recent outstanding performance at the Islamabad Golf Championship has propelled him up 53 places in the rankings, according to the latest update released yesterday.

Pushpika, previously ranked 899th in the WAGR, has now soared to the 846th position. His exceptional showing in Pakistan, where he clinched third place in the 63rd Pakistan Amateur Golf Championship, contributed significantly to this advancement.

Additionally, he teamed up with Uchitha Ranasinghe to secure the JR Jayewardene Trophy, marking the first victory in 11 years for Sri Lanka in this prestigious event. Push...
