Sri Lanka, May 17 -- Marking World Thalassemia Day (May 8), the Sri Lanka Navy handed over 400 Thalassemia Injectors to the Ministry of Health on May 16, at a ceremony held at Navy Headquarters under the patronage of the Commander of the Navy. These devices will be distributed free of charge to Thalassemia patients across the country.
Thalassemia Injectors are vital medical devices used to administer drugs that help remove excess iron from the body-a common complication in Thalassemia patients who undergo frequent blood transfusions.
