Sri Lanka, March 3 -- In celebration of International Women's Day, a 'National Women's Week' has been declared from March 2 to March 8, 2025.
This year's International Women's Day theme is "For All Women and Girls: Rights, Equality, Empowerment," while the overarching theme for National Women's Week is "A Sustainable Tomorrow for All - A Strong Woman is the Path."
International Women's Day, declared by the United Nations in 1977, has been celebrated globally on March 8 each year.
