Sri Lanka, April 23 -- The 48th National Age Group Swimming Championship, organised by the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union (SLASU), is set to begin at the Sugathadasa Swimming Pool Complex from April 24 to 27.

A whopping 983 swimmers from 129 different Schools, Clubs, Tri-Forces teams, and Universities have registered to compete this year.

Last time around, St Joseph's College and Visakha Vidyalaya took the crowns. But this year, it's going to be a real nail-biter. St Joseph's College is sending 54 swimmers into the fray, while Lyceum International School Wattala leads the pack with 57 swimmers, the most from any of the 129 teams.
