Sri Lanka, Feb. 3 -- SLPP Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa arrived at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) a short while ago following a summons to provide a statement.

Authorities said the appearance is in connection with reported allegations linking him to underworld kingpin "Kehelbaddara Padme." Earlier today(03), his mother, Shiranthi Rajapaksa, appeared before the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) in connection with related investigations.
