MRP for locally produced bottled drinking water gazetted

Sri Lanka, April 4 -- A special gazette notification has been issued by the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) setting maximum retail prices (MRP) for locally produced bottled drinking water.

The regulations came into effect from April 1, 2025.

The following MRPs have been specified for different bottle sizes including

500ml-999 ml bottles: Rs. 70,

1L-1.499 L bottles: Rs. 100,

1.5L-1.999 L bottles: Rs.130,

2L-2.499 L bottles: Rs. 160 and

5L-6.999 L bottles: Rs. 350.
