Sri Lanka, Dec. 5 -- Jaffna District MP Ramanathan Archuna announced in Parliament today that he does not require the official cab allocated to him.

Instead, he has requested that the funds be redirected to benefit the people of the plantations.

MP Archuna emphasized his willingness to provide a formal letter expressing his consent for the reallocation.

He said, "I do not want the cab. Distribute the money-ten lakhs-to the plantation communities. I am traveling to Jaffna by bus today."

He further stated that he is committed to supporting all regions, adding that he could mobilize resources from the diaspora to assist the North, East, and even the South if necessary.
