Srilanka, April 21 -- A tragic motorcycle accident near Beligamuwa Maha Kade Junction this morning (April 21) claimed the lives of a 31-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman.

According to the police, the incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. when the motorcycle, traveling from Galewela to Kurunegala, collided with a dog crossing the road. The impact caused the rider to lose control, and the motorcycle fell into a roadside ditch.

Both the rider and the female passenger were fatally injured, while a young boy riding with them was also injured. The victims were rushed to Galewela Hospital, but despite efforts, the man and woman were pronounced dead. The young boy was later transferred to Dambulla Hospital for further treatment.
