Sri Lanka, Feb. 3 -- The Ministry of Defense issued a statement yesterday (2) afternoon clarifying the facts regarding the false news circulating that three Sri Lanka Air Force aircrafts were used during President Anura Kumara Dissanayake's visit to Jaffna.

Accordingly, it is emphasized that the news circulating on social media that the President used Sri Lanka Air Force aircraft during his visit to Jaffna on January 31 is completely false.

The Ministry of Defense further stated in its statement that Sri Lanka Air Force aircraft were not used for the visit and that he traveled in his official car.
