Sri Lanka, Feb. 5 -- Anuradhapura Chief Magistrate Nalaka Sanjeewa Jayasuriya ordered Anuradhapura HQI Chief Inspector R. M. K. Jayaweera to file charges against Jaffna district Parliamentarian Ramanathan Archchuna in court on May 28 in connection with the incident of interfering with the duty of Anuradhapura Divisional Traffic Officers with malicious obstruction and criminal force by driving a motor vehicle without a valid driving licence.

The Magistrate made this order when the case related to this incident was taken up again before the Anuradhapura Magistrate's Court on Monday (3).

Ramanathan Archchuna who was charged in connection with the incident and is currently out on bail, also appeared in open court on Monday.
