Sri Lanka, March 3 -- The Nilwala and Gin Rivers have risen to minor flood levels, with the Nilwala River affecting the Akuressa and Panadugama areas and the Gin River rising in the Baddegama area, according to L. S. Suriyabandara, Director of the Hydrology Unit at the Irrigation Department.

Landslide warnings for Badulla and Nuwara Eliya districts remain in effect due to ongoing adverse weather conditions.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has forecast rainfall of up to 75mm in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, and Uva provinces, as well as the Matale and Nuwara Eliya districts.
