Srilanka, March 5 -- The Agriculture Ministry has announced plans to commence an animal survey on March 15 as a measure to control crop damage caused by common and troublesome animals. According to ministry sources, preliminary steps for this initiative have already been taken.
According to Ministry sources, the survey will begin on March 15 at 8 am, and the public is requested to record the number of monkeys, squirrels, giant squirrels and peacocks observed in their residential premises between 8 and 8:05 a.m. These observations should be noted on the provided forms and submitted to their respective Grama Niladhari.
