Srilanka, March 19 -- Public Security Minister Ananda Wijepala made a special statement in Parliament today (19) regarding former IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon, who recently surrendered to the court.

Minister Wijepala confirmed that Tennakoon, who had been in hiding for several days and attracted significant attention, voluntarily appeared at the Matara Court.

The Minister also revealed that a Criminal Investigation Department (CID) team conducted a search of Tennakoon's residence in Hokandara on the 18th, where they seized 1009 bottles of liquor, including 795 bottles of foreign alcohol and 214 bottles of wine.
