Sri Lanka, Aug. 28 -- Public Security Minister Ananda Wijepala announced that steps are being taken to establish special courts to expedite trials against organized criminals.
Speaking at a media briefing held today (28) at the Government Information Department, the minister emphasized the importance of efficiently punishing organized crime in line with the law. "We have planned to set up several special high courts to make trials against organized criminals more efficient and ensure they are punished swiftly," he stated.
The initiative aims to strengthen the justice system and reinforce law enforcement measures against organized criminal activities.
