Sri Lanka, March 26 -- The Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government Ministry has put in place a mechanism to look into public grievances that have arisen due to the curfew imposed in the country.

"Various individuals and parties have faced inconveniences due to the curfew imposed as an urgent measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Most of the public institutions are closed due to the curfew and many people have been clueless as to how they could present their grievances. Understanding this problem, the ministry has decided to set up a committee to receive public grievances and coordinate with the relevant authorities to address them," the Ministry said in a letter to all District Secretaries.
