Sri Lanka, March 1 -- The Health Ministry has taken measures to improve training system of country's healthcare sector to the proficient level to meet the international standard.

With this in view, a National Continuous Professional Development Programme (NCPDP) for the health sector professionals has been implemented with the aim of providing optimal healthcare to the patients by implementing a regular, efficient and quality health service in Sri Lanka. The programme will be carried out by the Education, Training and Research Division under the leadership of the Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Health Dr. Samindi Samarakoon.
