Sri Lanka, Feb. 28 -- In a statement made in Parliament today (28), Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education, Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, revealed that teacher vacancies for religious subjects will be filled with graduates from the Diploma in Teaching Science program.

She explained that these vacancies, set to be filled by March 2025, were designated specifically for Diploma in Teaching Science graduates. In preparation, the Public Service Commission was consulted on September 25, 2024, regarding the recruitment process, based on the results of the competitive examination held on May 25, 2019, for the recruitment of Dharmacharya Samathun to the Sri Lanka Teachers Service.
