Srilanka, Feb. 27 -- A 52-year-old man from Kambilikotuwa, Grandpass, succumbed to his injuries after being attacked with a sharp weapon during a violent altercation yesterday (26) afternoon.

According to police, the incident stemmed from a heated dispute over house rent. Investigations reveal that the deceased had initially attacked a man and his wife with a sharp weapon, injuring them. In retaliation, the man wrested the weapon away and fatally struck the attacker.

The suspect and his wife are currently receiving treatment at Colombo National Hospital for their injuries. Grandpass Police have launched further investigations into the incident.
