Srilanka, June 20 -- Motor Vehicle Inspector M.S.L. Chandana Bandara from the Narahenpita Motor Vehicles Department, in coordination with the Nuwara Eliya District Chief Motor Vehicle Inspector Jaliya Bandara, took decisive action to temporarily remove 44 vehicles-including SLTB and private buses-from service on the Hatton-Kandy main road.
The emergency inspection, conducted in the Bagatholuwa area along the Ginigathhena-Nawalapitiya main road, involved 115 vehicles and was carried out in collaboration with officers from the Air Emissions Inspection Division, Ginigathhena Police OIC Chief Inspector Viraj Withanage, and traffic police officers.
