Sri Lanka, Feb. 3 -- A coordinated search operation conducted by the SLN Dockyard of the Eastern Naval Command, with the assistance of the Kantalai Police, on Saturday (01), led to the arrest of a suspect with 101 unauthorised fishing nets ready for sale, in the township of Kantalai.
The arrest of the suspect was made after searching a retail store, where 101 unauthorised fishing nets (monofilament), ready for sale, were recovered.
The suspect, aged 51, and resident of Deewaragama, Kantalai, along with the unauthorised fishing nets were handed over to the Kantalai Police for prosecution.
