Sri Lanka, Jan. 29 -- A 30-year-old man was arrested yesterday (28) in the Chilaw area for allegedly possessing heroin.

Officers from the Chalawatha Police Station, acting on prior information, intercepted the suspect while he was riding a motorcycle. During the arrest, 70 grams of heroin and the motorcycle used by the suspect were seized.

The suspect, a resident of the Chilaw area, is now under investigation, with further inquiries being conducted by the Chalawatha Police.
