Sri Lanka, Feb. 7 -- Sources reveal that the National Police Commission, which convened yesterday (06), has approved the transfer of more than 100 Officers-in-Charge (OICs), including several senior police officials.

As part of these changes, Kilinochchi DIG Samantha de Silva has been appointed as the new Commander of the Police Special Task Force, replacing Senior DIG Waruna Jayasundara. In turn, Jayasundara will take over as the Chief of Police for the Eastern Province.

Additionally, Senior DIG Ajith Rohana, currently in charge of the Eastern Province, will be transferred to the Northwestern Province. Meanwhile, Kithsiri Jayalath, the current Police Chief of the Northwestern Province, will move to the Southern Province, and Mahesh Sen...
