Sri Lanka, April 24 -- Police have confirmed the arrest of the main suspect involved in the murder of social activist Dan Priyasad.

The incident occurred on the upper floor of the Laksanda Sevana apartment complex in Wellampitiya on April 22. According to police, two individuals arrived on a motorcycle, carried out the shooting, and then fled the scene.

Seven others, including two women, had previously been taken into custody in connection with the case. Investigations are ongoing.
