Sri Lanka, Oct. 28 -- A case filed against Kandy District MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage for allegedly purchasing a house worth Rs. 27 million in Kynsey Road, Colombo 8, through illegal means, was yesterday fixed for further trial on February 17 by the Colombo High Court.

When the case came up before High Court Judge Pradeep Hettiarachchi, two officers attached to National Development Bank and Department of Motor Traffic testified. Further trial was fixed for February 17.

The Attorney General had filed indictments against Mahindananda Aluthgamage alleging that he had purchased a house in Kynsey Road, Colombo 8, from an individual named Christopher Roshan for Rs. 27 million.
