Srilanka, May 26 -- Former Agriculture Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage, who is currently in remand custody, was produced before the Colombo Magistrate's Court today (May 26).
He was brought to court by prison officials in connection with the ongoing investigation into the importation of a substandard shipment of organic fertilizer during the tenure of the previous government.
The case, which has drawn significant public and political attention, is scheduled to be taken up for hearing today.
