Srilanka, April 7 -- Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa is in good health, according to his son, Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa.

Namal made the statement this morning (April 7) while speaking to the media after appearing before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to provide a statement.

Rumors had been circulating on social media in recent days claiming that the former president had been hospitalized due to illness.

Dismissing these reports, Namal said, "Despite what was said on social media, He was fine when I went home."
