Sri Lanka, April 20 -- Police sources revealed that Gayan Buddhima Perera, who was deported from Dubai to Sri Lanka by Dubai Police, may have vital information about firearms belonging to underworld kingpin Makandure Madhush.

Perera is one of the six persons deported from Dubai last Wednesday (17).

Police sources said a decision had been reached to detain the suspect for three months after it was revealed that he knew about the firearms that initially belonged to the LTTE.

The suspect, a resident of the Bogahapitiya in Ahungalla, is an Air-Force deserter. Perera, who is also a suspect in several murder cases, had gone to Dubai on a resident visa on October 1 last year. Before leaving for Dubai, he had been acting as the keeper of Madhu...
