Sri Lanka, July 13 -- The three police officers involved in the shooting incident in Lunawa recently which resulted in one person being killed, has been interdicted following investigations, according to the Police Media Division. Among the police officers who were interdicted are Police Sergeant and two Police Constables. An investigation has been launched into the incident by the Mount Lavinia SSP on the directives of the acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) C. D. Wickramaratne.

The three police officers had been interdicted based on the findings of the internal investigations carried out by the Mount Lavinia SSP, Police Media Spokesman SSP Jaliya Senaratne said.
