Sri Lanka, Jan. 31 -- A perfectly well-organized Galle Literary Festival was an undisputed success especially in these recovery-besotted times, when economic activity needs a fresh boost. But, a bunch of retained flunkies tried their best to flunk the festival, but it didn't happen. It was this one event, a cricket match that was hastily organized by some and was not on the original festival program, that was the hunting ground for the flunkies to try and fail the immensely, somewhat raucously successful festival.

So what did they do? They invited everybody by email for the match stating effusively, please join us. In those very words 'join us', and that's worth the reiteration. But when the general public arrived at the venue they found...
