Sri Lanka, June 21 -- A state-of-the-art nuclear imaging unit, known as a Gamma Camera, valued at Rs. 154 million, has been officially installed and added to the treatment services at the Lady Ridgeway Children's Hospital in Colombo. The unit was inaugurated yesterday under the patronage of the Health and Mass Media Ministry Secretary Dr. Anil Jasinghe.
The new equipment, funded by the Ministry of Health, marks a significant advancement in pediatric healthcare, especially in the diagnosis and treatment of kidney-related diseases.
The Gamma Camera is a sophisticated diagnostic tool used in nuclear medicine and will play a crucial role in enhancing the hospital's diagnostic capabilities.
