Srilanka, Feb. 18 -- A 16-year-old boy and his grandmother, part of a group visiting the Riverston Little End of the World from Polonnaruwa, were found lost in the jungle after an overnight search operation, the Laggala Pallegama Police reported.

The group of about 20 people from Kaduruwela, Polonnaruwa, went missing on the 16th. Despite a search by police, army personnel, wildlife officers, and local residents, no trace was found until dawn.

The next day, the missing duo was located in the Red Bana Ella mountain range. They recounted losing their way after visiting the falls and spending the night on a rock near the site.

Both were admitted to Laggala Hospital after suffering severe leech bites.
