Srilanka, April 2 -- A lost bear cub was discovered by a team of Kahatagasdigiliya wildlife officials yesterday (April 1) morning in the Hurulu Reserve, located in Kivlekada, Horowpothana.

According to wildlife officials, the cub is approximately one and a half months old and stands about 18 inches tall.

The team, who were on an official mission in the reserve, noticed the cub wandering alone, seemingly separated from its mother. Acting swiftly, they safely rescued the young bear.

The cub was then transported to the Anuradhapura Pandulagama Wildlife Medical Center for a health examination.
