Sri Lanka, Dec. 22 -- Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Deputy Minister Chathuranga Abeysinghe said that under the 2026 Government subsidized loan scheme, businesses affected by the weather related disaster can obtain loans of up to Rs. 25 million at an interest rate of 5% or less.
He stated this yesterday (21) while addressing the media regarding solutions to the immediate financial crisis of small and medium-scale enterprises damaged by the floods.
He said entrepreneurs can apply for a loan of up to Rs.1 million at 3% interest rate from Bank of Ceylon, People's Bank and RDB Bank. For this, the approval of the Grama Niladhari and the Divisional Secretary is required.Sri Lanka Developers
