Sri Lanka, April 25 -- The Department of Meteorology has issued a lightning warning for the Eastern, Uva, Central, Northern, and North-Central provinces, as well as the Hambantota district.

Residents in these areas are advised to remain cautious, as temporary strong winds may also accompany thunderstorms.

The department urges the public to take all necessary safety precautions to minimize the risk of lightning-related incidents during this period.
