Sri Lanka, Feb. 9 -- The Sri Lanka Navy organised life-saving and first aid training for local fishermen, demonstrating its ongoing dedication to public welfare and community development. The training session was held at the Cod Bay Fisheries Harbour, Trincomalee last week.
The Eastern Naval Command East spearheaded the programme as part of the social pillar of the 'Clean Sri Lanka' project. In the programme local fishermen were equipped with essential first aid and life-saving techniques vital for emergencies at sea.
