Srilanka, March 21 -- Sri Lanka Customs has seized a consignment of drugs worth Rs. 17.8 million at the Colombo Central Post Office. The discovery was made in parcels that had remained unclaimed for two weeks.

These parcels, originating from France, the United States, Canada, and the Netherlands, were intended for delivery to various locations across Sri Lanka, including Kandy, Negombo, Ja Ela, Wellawatte, Nugegoda, Tangalle, Mahiyanganaya, and Jaffna.

Upon receiving permission from the Postmaster General, Sri Lanka Customs officers inspected 20 unclaimed parcels and uncovered 272 grams of 'Kush' and 2,049 'Methamphetamine' pills in 14 of the parcels.
