Sri Lanka, March 6 -- Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Sabry said in Parliament yesterday that people should never attempt to travel abroad for work under tourist visas.

He was responding to a query by Kandy District MP Wasantha Yapa Bandara with regard to 56 Sri Lankans being forcibly detained in a Myanmar terrorist camp and put to work as cyber slaves.

The Minister said that if a person goes for a job in a foreign country, he should find out who the employer is and what the job is with a proper understanding, otherwise he will have to suffer in the hands of various brokers abroad.
